R2D20 | Posting GuidelinesThis is a featured page

  1. Only content relevant to roleplaying in the Star Wars universe should be posted to this wiki. This includes the following:
    • Crunch:
      • Statistics for characters, mooks, vehicles, starships, equipment, creatures, and even planets.
      • Rules additions and variants.
    • Story:
      • Adventures, campaigns; organisations, villains, and allies.
    • Design:
      • Plot advice and "How To" guides.
  2. Content can be defined as "strict canon", "loose canon", and "fan creation". Please indicate the appropriate level of canon in the subheading of your page. Note that we measure canon in relation to the source material, not in relation to other Star Wars material (so while Jedi Knight might be low down on the list of canon sources, a weapon from the game would be considered Strict Canon - because it as a close representation of its source).
    • Strict Canon: This material mirrors closely its representation in the Star Wars universe.
    • Loose Canon: This material takes certain liberties when interpreting or expanding from what is canonical in the Star Wars universe.
    • Fan Creation: This material represents nothing in the known Star Wars universe, and is entirely fan-made.
  3. Please be sure to put your content in the correct place, or create a page for it if no appropriate place currently exists.
  4. Whenever you create a new page in your section, put a linked entry for it in any applicable Indexes.
  5. Always add the following keywords to your pages: Star Wars, RPG, Star Wars roleplaying game, d20*, Saga*. This is so that search engines categorize all our pages appropriately and R2D20 is more likely to be found! You may also want to add your username and additional keywords based on the page's location in the site structure and its content.

*Oviously, if the page is a different edition of the game, replace "d20, Saga" with "d20, OCR", "d20, RCR", and "d6, WEG" as appropriate.

Formatting Guidelines (Navigational)

Each contributor should create their own page in R2D20 | Contributors, and add a link to that page to the list in the section's frontpage. They should then organise their section under the same headings used in the Indexes and in existing Contributor's sections. This ensures ease of navigation through the Contributors section.

Your "frontpage" should be titled according to your username. For example, mine is titled "simplyscribed". All subpages should be titled according to the following format:

Your username | The system appropriate to the article* | The Article name

*The systems are as follows:

West End Games (d6): WEG
d20 Original Core Rules: OCR
d20 Revised Core Rules: RCR
d20 Saga Edition: Saga

So, if I want to post an article on the Baran Do Sage Force Tradition with Saga Rules, I post it with the following title:

simplyscribed | Saga | Baran Do Sages

The reason for this naming convention is that no page can have an identical name to another page. Including my username ensures that if another contributor writes an article about the Baran Do Sages in Saga they can post it. Including the system (Saga) ensures that if I later write an article about the Baran Do Sages in another system (say, the Revised Core Rules), I can post it.

Subpages should be used to categorize an article. For example, the above article should be posted in the following location:

  • R2D20 | Contributors
    • simplyscribed
      • simplyscribed | Saga
        • simplyscribed | Saga | The Force
          • simplyscribed | Saga | Force Traditions
            • simplyscribed | Saga | Baran Do Sages
